Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Shah Alam II, who was the last Mughal Emperor and ruled from 1759 to 1806. Despite being the last emperor, he was unable to regain the power and prestige of the Mughal Empire, which had been declining since the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. This coin, issued in 1810, was a attempt to stabilize the economy and maintain the power of the princely state of Gwalior, which was one of the few remaining powerful states in India at that time.
