Ruler : Shah Alam BahadurInteresting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Shah Alam Bahadur, also known as Shah Alam II, who was the Mughal Emperor of India from 1759 to 1806. He was the son of Alamgir II and the last Mughal Emperor to have any real power. During his reign, the Mughal Empire was in decline and faced challenges from the Maratha Confederacy and the British East India Company. Despite these challenges, the coinage issued during his reign, including the 1 Rupee - Shah Alam Bahadur (Khambayat) 1120 (1708), remains a valuable piece of Indian numismatic history.
