One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Shah Alam Bahadur, who was the Mughal Emperor at the time, and it features an inscription in Persian that reads "Shah Alam Bahadur, Sultan of the Mughal Empire, may God strengthen his reign" on one side, and the other side features the date of issue in the Islamic calendar, "1119-1123" (1708-1711 AD).
