Comment
This was struck in or near Kangding (Tachienlu / Lukuan). It was meant to replace the Indian Rupee, which was used in eastern Tibet and western Szechuan in the 19th century, and is considered the forerunner of the Szechuan Rupee.Y#A1.2 is said to have a different inscription; however, confirmation is needed on what the inscription is. This piece is seemingly unique, and is located in Kann's collection.
