Interesting fact

The 1 Rupee coin from the Emirate of Afghanistan, which was minted during the reign of Dost Muhammad (1843-1864), features a unique blend of Islamic and Western influences in its design. The obverse side of the coin bears the inscription "Dost Muhammad" in Persian script, while the reverse side features a depiction of a crowned lion, which was a common motif in European heraldry. This blending of cultural influences reflects the complex history and cultural exchange that occurred in Afghanistan during the 19th century.
