Date of issue: 02 JUL 1997The Resurrection (Iverski) Gate was built in 1584, and rebuilt in 1680. A two-flight arch passage is crowned with two-story chambers. These chambers accommodated laboratories of the neighboring Mint until 1731, and the Printing house of the Moscow University in the 50th-80th of the XVIIIth century. In the 90th of the same century the Chapel of Iverskaya Virgin’s Icon was built for Iverskaya Virgin’s Icon (and gave the Gate the other name). The Gate was demolished in 1931 and restored by the Moscow government in 1994—1995.
