Interesting fact

The 1992 Russian 1 Rouble coin (Sovereignty and Democracy) features a unique design that symbolizes the country's transition from a communist state to a democratic society. The obverse side of the coin depicts the Russian coat of arms, while the reverse side features an image of a ballot box and a raised hand, representing the democratic process. This design was chosen to commemorate the first democratic elections held in Russia in 1990, which marked the beginning of a new era in the country's history.
