Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Real (Type V Countermark) ND (1868) coin from El Salvador is that it was minted during a time of political and economic turmoil in the country. El Salvador had recently gained independence from Spain in 1821, but it was struggling to establish a stable government and economy. The introduction of this coin was an attempt to address the need for a reliable currency, and it features a unique countermark that sets it apart from other coins of the time. Despite the challenges faced by the country, the coin remains a valuable piece of numismatic history.
