The 1 Öre coin from Sweden, issued during the reign of Kristina I (1638-1641), was made of copper and weighed 51.5 grams. That's quite significant because it was during Kristina's reign that Sweden began to switch from using foreign currencies, like the Danish rigsdaler, to its own national currency, the Swedish daler. This coin was one of the first to be minted in Sweden and marked an important step towards the country's economic independence.
