Comment
Having returned the papal seat to Rome, Macerata wished to continue minting money, no longer with only the papal seal,
but in the autonomous form in the name of the city, obtaining from Pope Boniface IX the brief of concession on 6 June 1392.
Interesting fact
The 1 Quattrino coin from Macerata (Papal States) made of Billon weighing 0.66 g is interesting because it was issued during the reign of Pope Eugene IV, who was known for his efforts to reform the Catholic Church and restore peace to the Papal States after a period of political turmoil.
