The first of four Timothy Noad floral emblems, the others being the Leek & Daffodil for Wales, Flax and Shamrock for Northern Ireland and the Thistle and Bluebell for Scotland.
Released as part of the Annual Silver Piedfort set (486 sales) as well as individually (1,071 sales), this design was also struck in nickel-brass, silver proof and gold proof.
