The 'latent image' on the obverse is like a hologram that changes from a ‘£’ symbol to the number '1' when the coin is viewed from different angles.Released as part of the annual silver proof sets (615 sales, issue limit: 1,500), with the 2017 issue also available as individual pieces (12,649 sales), the design was also struck in nickel-brass, silver piedfort, gold proof and platinum proof.
