Comment
On October 21, 1805, the Battle of Trafalgar pitted the Franco-Spanish fleet commanded by Vice-Admiral Villeneuve against the British fleet commanded by Vice-Admiral Nelson.Although Nelson was killed, the British victory was total, despite their numerical inferiority. Two-thirds of the Franco-Spanish ships were destroyed, and Napoleon, lacking a sufficiently large fleet, had to give up any hope of conquering the United Kingdom. (Source : www.wikipedia.org)
