A commemorative edition of the last round £1 coin issued before it's 12-sided replacement was released in 2017. Not struck for circulation but released as part of the 2016 annual Brilliant Uncirculated (22,786 sales) and Proof sets as well as available in an individual BU pack (96,089 sales), the design was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof.
