The fourth and final Edwina Ellis bridge design, representing England the Millennium Bridge in Gateshead is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne in England between Gateshead's Quays arts quarter on the south bank, and the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne on the north bank. Opened for public use in 2001, the award-winning structure was conceived and designed by architect Wilkinson Eyre and structural engineer Gifford.As well as being for circulation, the 2007 Strike was issued as part of the Annual Coin Sets for 2007, in both Brilliant Uncirculated & Proof as well as being issued individually in a BU pack (5,326 sales). While also being struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof. As well as a 2008 silver proof with gold highlighting
