An estimated 20 to 30 pieces were minted based on the mint master's reports, but only one piece is currently known.

The coins were meant for use in Dutch Brazil to circulate at a value of 75 Guilders, but the gold content was only worth around 50. Mintage of these coins was quickly prohibited by the Dutch Republic.
