Interesting fact
The 1 Pfennig coin from the City of Erfurt, minted in 1760 during the reign of John Frederick Charles of Ostein, features an error in the inscription on the reverse side. The Latin phrase "CIVITAS ERFORTVS" (City of Erfurt) was mistakenly engraved as "CIVITAS ERFORTVS :" with a colon at the end, which was not corrected until a later minting. This error makes the coin a unique and sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
