Interesting fact
The 1 Pfennig coin from Saxe-Hildburghausen features an image of Frederick I, the reigning duke at the time, on one side, and the coat of arms of the duchy on the other. What's interesting is that the coat of arms includes a depiction of a wild man, known as the "Wildmann," which was a symbol of the duchy and appeared on many of its coins. The Wildmann is shown holding a club and wearing a fur loincloth, and its inclusion on the coin reflects the region's history and cultural heritage.
