Comment

Zeppelin was an aerostatic vehicle full of hydrogen to make it lighter than air, using the same principle as hot air balloons, but with engines to move and drive it in the desired direction.

Sadly is famous the exploding of the Graaf Von Zeppelin; disaster that ended the use of these vehicles as passenger and cargo service.

Currently, some are used with publicity purposes, but full with helium, that is not explosive.

Interesting fact

The 1988 Cuban Zeppelin coin features a unique design, showcasing a zeppelin airship hovering over the capital city of Havana. This coin was produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the Graf Zeppelin, a famous German airship that was used for transatlantic flights in the 1930s. The coin's design is not only visually striking but also represents a significant historical event, making it a fascinating collector's item for both coin enthusiasts and aviation enthusiasts.
