The image shows the view from behind of the 3 Columbus Vessels when reaching America for the first time; Tierra, Tierra! were the the words of Rodrigo de Triana, first European man to see America land, a island named Guanahani, which exact location is still is under discussion. In the image Triana is shown waving on top of the closest vessel, while announcing the sight of land.
