José Martí and Gen. Máximo Gómez met on March 25th., 1895 at Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, to discuss the aims and plans of the current revolutionary movement. The document containing the final agreement was signed there and was named Montecristi Manifesto.José Martí y el general Máximo Gómez se reunieron en Monte Cristi, República Dominicana, para discutir las metas y planes del movimiento revolucionario del momento. El documento conteniendo el acuerdo final fué firmado en el lugar, y se le llamó Manifiesto de Montecristi.
