Catálogo de Monedas y Ensayos de la República del Paraguay. Miguel Angel Pratt Mayans, 2013 (M56)
Similar to the business strike Peso of 1889. This is a relatively modern striking utilizing the original dies.

Interesting fact

This coin was designed by the Paraguayan artist and engraver, José María Velázquez, and features a unique blend of indigenous and European elements. The obverse side of the coin depicts a stylized image of a Guarani warrior, while the reverse side features a rendition of the Paraguayan coat of arms. The use of copper in the production of this coin was a deliberate choice, as it was a readily available and durable material in Paraguay at the time. Despite its relatively low value, this coin is highly sought after by collectors due to its historical significance and unique design.
