Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the regency of Adelaide of Burgundy, who was the wife of John I, Duke of Brabant, and served as regent for their son, Henry III, who was only a child at the time. Adelaide played an important role in the governance of the Duchy of Brabant, and her regency saw the introduction of new coinage, such as this penny, which was made of silver and weighed 0.53 grams.
