KM# TN18 has a round-top “3” in the date. KM# Tn19 and KM# TN20 have a flat-top “3”. KM# TN20 has a pellets in the center of the quatrefoils on the reverse.
Krause lists this type as made of copper but Mike Southall (Coins of the Isle of Man) says brass and describes it as a possible pattern or forgery.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Token 1 Penny - George III (John McTurk) 1830 from Isle of Man (British Crown dependencies) made of Brass weighing 10.47 g is that it was minted during a time when the Isle of Man was experiencing a shortage of official currency, leading to the use of private tokens like this one as a means of exchange.
