Comment
Coin minted by anonymus ruler during the late period of the reign of Olav Kyrre (1067-1093AD).Interesting fact
The 1 Penning coin was minted during the reign of King Olaf III, also known as Olaf the Peaceful, who ruled Norway from 1080 to 1095. During his reign, Olaf III focused on strengthening the Norwegian economy and promoting trade, which led to the introduction of a new coinage system that included the 1 Penning coin. The coin was made of silver and featured the king's name and title on one side, and a cross on the other. The 1 Penning coin was an important part of Norway's currency system during this period and was used for everyday transactions.
