Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Asaf Jah IV/V, who was the Nizam of Hyderabad from 1835 to 1869. During his reign, he implemented many reforms, including the introduction of a new currency, which this coin was a part of. The coin was made of copper and weighed 12.8 grams, which was a significant change from the previous currency that was used in the region. This coin was also unique in that it featured the name of the ruler in Urdu and Telugu, which was a departure from the traditional use of only Urdu on coins. These changes were an attempt to modernize the currency and make it more accessible to the people of the region.
