Comment

Gronsveld coins are found in the Krause catalog under German States > Gronsfeld.

These liards are imitations of the liards as minted in Liège in the name of Ferdinand of Bavaria (1612-1650). This type was also imitated in Reckheim. On this type, the inscription starts on the side with the large crowned coat of arms instead of on the side with the letters EB.

Interesting fact

The 1 Oord coin from the Lordship of Gronsveld, featuring Jobst Maximilian, is a rare and valuable coin among collectors due to its historical significance and the limited number of coins minted during its production run.
