Comment
This lovely coin is dedicated to the one of the greatest love stories of all times, the story of Jacob and Rachel, love at first sight from the moment they met. The artist designed a heavenly, Chagall-style expression of their love. The images face each other and seem to float above the hills and sheep that Jacob tended for seven years, in return for his beloved. "And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her." (Genesis 29:9). After seven years of hard labor in return for Rachel as a wife, Rachel's father Laban broke his word and deceived Jacob by giving him Rachel's elder twin sister Leah. Jacob had to work seven more years for his beloved Rachel.KM#405.1
