Comment
Olayinka Herbert Samuel Heelas Badmus Macaulay (1864 - 1946) was a Nigerian politician and was considered the founder of Nigerian Nationalism. In 1923, he founded the Nigerian Democratic Party and declared Nigeria to be one nation.Due to chronic inflation, these coins fell out of use by the mid-2010s. Due to a paper currency shortage in 2023, these coins were distributed in bags of ₦2,000 to bank customers instead of banknotes.
