Kyūshū Coin
The merchant Hashitsune Takehiko was ordered by the Otomo clan to cast this coin.
It was cast in Ote-machi, Bungo (now part of Oita) and is based on the Chinese Northern Song Yuanyou Tongbao in seal script.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Standard circulation coin 1 Mon "Genyūtsūhō" (Seal script; "Kanōde Genyū") ND (1616-1646) from Japan made of Copper weighing 1.9 g is that it was issued during the Edo period, a time of relative peace and stability in Japan, which allowed for the development of a strong economy and the use of coins as a widely accepted form of currency.
