Interesting fact

The 1 Markka coin from Finland, produced between 1940 and 1951, has an interesting feature. It was designed by the artist, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, who is famous for his work in the Art Nouveau style. The obverse of the coin features the Finnish coat of arms, while the reverse features a stylized design of a spruce tree, which is a symbol of Finland's natural resources. This coin was also the first to feature the Finnish markka currency, which was introduced in 1940 to replace the Finnish mark.
