Interesting fact
The 1 Mark Dansk coin from Denmark, issued during the reign of Christian V (1672-1676), features a unique design element that sets it apart from other coins of its time. The obverse side of the coin bears an image of the king, while the reverse side features a depiction of the Danish coat of arms, which includes three lions and a shield. This design was a departure from the traditional design used on previous Danish coins, which typically featured a simple cross or other geometric shapes. The use of the coat of arms on the 1 Mark Dansk coin was a deliberate choice made by King Christian V to emphasize his royal authority and to promote a sense of national identity among the Danish people.
