Interesting fact

The 1 Mariengroschen coin from the City of Goslar (German States) made of Silver weighing 2.46 g is interesting because it was used as a means of payment during a time when the city was an important center for trade and commerce in the region. The coin's design features the image of the Virgin Mary, which was a common motif on coins during the Renaissance period, and its silver content made it a valuable and reliable form of currency.
