Interesting fact
The 1 Lipa coin from Croatia has a unique feature - it has a distinctive "ring" when it is dropped onto a hard surface. This is due to the specific alloy used in its production, which is 98% aluminum and 2% magnesium. When the coin is struck, the magnesium content causes it to vibrate at a specific frequency, creating a clear and distinctive sound. This feature has made the coin popular among coin collectors and enthusiasts, who often refer to it as the "ringing Lipa."
