NOTE: 1995 issue is reported to have a slightly smaller diameter (23.3mm)
The specifications of this coin almost coincided with 1 Deutsche mark (Germany), and the mark was worth exactly 8 times more. A huge amount of copper-nickel kroons were exported from Estonia and ended up in German vending machines, so in 1998 they had to be withdrawn from circulation and replaced with yellow "nordic gold" ones.
