Comment
This coin has a D on the left side of the truncation (the bottom part of the bust, where the body has been "cut" off)Interesting fact
The 1 Kreuzer coin from the Grand Duchy of Baden was minted during the reign of Leopold I, who was the first Grand Duke of Baden. The coin features an image of Leopold I on one side and the coat of arms of Baden on the other. The coin was made of copper and weighed 3.8 grams. It was used as a standard circulation coin during Leopold's reign from 1831 to 1837. Interestingly, the 1 Kreuzer coin was not the only coin minted during Leopold's reign. In fact, he introduced a new currency system in 1834, which included coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 Kreuzer, as well as a 1/4 Taler coin. This new currency system was designed to replace the old system, which was based on the Austrian currency standard. The introduction of the new currency system was a significant event in the economic history of Baden, as it helped to modernize the state's economy and increase trade and commerce.
