Interesting fact

The 1916 Ober Ost 1 Kopeck coin was issued during World War I, specifically during the German occupation of the Baltic region. The coin was minted in iron, which was a common material used for coins during this time period due to the shortage of other metals. The use of iron for coins was also a symbol of the occupying power's authority and control over the region. Despite being made of a relatively cheap material, the coin still holds historical significance and is a sought-after collector's item today.
