Interesting fact
The Pattern 1 Jiao coin was designed by the renowned Chinese artist and designer, Luo Zhenyu, who was also a prominent figure in the Chinese art world during the early 20th century. Luo Zhenyu's design for the coin featured a portrait of Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, on the obverse, and a traditional Chinese dragon on the reverse. The coin was minted in 1927 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's death, and it is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among numismatists today.
