Interesting fact
The 1 Guldengroschen coin from the Archbishopric of Magdeburg, minted in 1526 under Albert IV of Brandenburg, was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a depiction of a Protestant reformer, Martin Luther, on its reverse side. This was a bold move by Albert IV, who was a strong supporter of the Protestant Reformation, and it marked a significant shift in the religious landscape of the German States during that time.
