Interesting fact
The 1 Guaraní coin from Paraguay was designed by the country's famous artist and sculptor, José Luis Ortiz de Zevallos, who is known for his works that reflect the country's history and culture. The coin features an image of a Guarani indian, which is the namesake of the currency, on one side, and the coat of arms of Paraguay on the other. The use of stainless steel in the coin's production was a deliberate choice to make it more durable and resistant to corrosion, ensuring that it would last for a long time in circulation.
