Comment

Diameter of this coin is from 15 to 19 mm. Weight of this coin is from 0.43 to 0.66 g. Firstly they were nicely cut and minted, but later they became the poorest minted coins made in Ragusa.

Grossetto (in Croatian: dinarić) is the first coin that was regularly dated. Few examples are known without date, but that was made probably made by accident.

Lettering variations:
RAGVSII/RHACUSI/RAGVSI/RACVSI/RHAGVSII/RACVSIN
S.BLASIV/S.BLASIS
SALUS TUTA/SALVS TVTA

Interesting fact

The 1 Grosetto coin from the Republic of Ragusa (now known as Dubrovnik, Croatia) was used as a form of currency during a time when the city was a major trading hub in the Mediterranean. The coin was made of silver and weighed 0.55 grams, which was a significant amount for a coin of its time. Despite its small size, the coin played a big role in the economy of the region and was widely used for trade and commerce.
