Interesting fact

The 1 Groschen coin from the Principality of Mecklenburg, minted in 1528 during the reign of Albert VII, was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a depiction of a Protestant church on its reverse side. This was a bold move by the Catholic ruler, as the Protestant Reformation was still a relatively new and controversial movement at the time. The inclusion of this image on the coin was seen as a statement of support for the Protestant faith and marked a significant moment in the history of religious tolerance in the region.
