During the Venetian rule of Cyprus, there were not minted higher denomination coins (silver issues), and the denominations that circulated during the era were counterstamped gros from the lusignan era.The countermarks are the following: the value 8 soldia, the control authority number 1 and four circuferential circular seals with a pellet in centre.
