Comment

A mule variety of 1934 exists with a Dutch obverse and a French reverse.

The kneeling woman on the 1922 coin (LA-BFM 93) has a larger head than on the later years (LA-BFM 95), which is not recognized by Morin (2012).

For 1933 mintages differ between Morin 2012 (1 999 950) and Aernout 2019 (1 998 000).

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1922-1934 Belgian 1 Franc coin made of Nickel is that it was designed by the Belgian artist and sculptor, Victor Rousseau. The coin features the image of a helmeted head of the Belgian king, Albert I, on one side, and the value and country name on the other. Rousseau was known for his work in various fields, including sculpture, painting, and numismatics, and his designs were often inspired by classical themes and Belgian history. This coin is a great example of his work and a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Belgium.
