This coin is very common, engraved by Armand Bonnetain and coined at the Brussels currency workshop.
The type was introduced by the Grand-Ducal decree of November 13, 1952, intended to replace the .
This coin is made of cupronickel alloy (containing 75% copper and 25% nickel) with a tolerance both outside and inside within 1%. The weight tolerance is 2.9%. This is the last time the puddler was used as a motif for a Luxembourg coin. Please refer to the data sheet for more information about the Feierstëppler.
