Interesting fact
The Pattern 1 Fenig was a prototype coin designed by the Polish artist and engraver, Józef Aumiller, in 1918. It was never officially released into circulation, but a small number of pattern coins were struck and distributed among collectors. The coin features the image of a crowned eagle on the obverse and the value "1 Fenig" on the reverse. The use of Nickel silver, a copper alloy with nickel, was a unique choice for coinage at the time and adds to the coin's distinctiveness. Despite its rarity, the Pattern 1 Fenig is highly sought after by collectors and is considered a valuable addition to any numismatic collection.
