Interesting fact

The obverse of the coin features a depiction of a knight on horseback, which is where the coin gets its name "Silver Rider." The knight is shown holding a shield with the coat of arms of the Province of Utrecht, and the horse is depicted in a galloping pose, giving the impression of movement and energy. The design of the coin was created by the Dutch artist and engraver, Johannes van der Velden, who was known for his detailed and intricate engravings.
