Davenport and Krause separate these coins according to workshop (Dav#1280 and KM#8, hand for Antwerp, Dav#1281 and KM#8.2 lion for Bruges).The subdivision we've chosen here is linked to the portrait, with or without earring, and to different legend characters and sizes.
The 1749 issue includes all silver ducatons struck in 1749, 1750 and 1751.
The Antwerp workshop struck this type of ducaton from 1749 to 1754 (see type II).
