Interesting fact

The 1 Ducato coin was used as a trade coin in the Mediterranean region during the 18th century, and its design was inspired by the Venetian Ducat, which was a popular trade coin at the time. The obverse of the coin features the coat of arms of the Republic of Ragusa, while the reverse features the image of St. Blaise, the patron saint of Dubrovnik (the capital city of the Republic of Ragusa). The coin's silver content and weight were carefully regulated to ensure its authenticity and value, making it a reliable medium of exchange for merchants and traders.
