Interesting fact
The 1 Ducat coin from County of Hatzfeld (German States) features an interesting error on its obverse side. The coin was minted in 1666 during the reign of Sebastian I of Hatzfeld-Wildenburg-Krottorf, and it was supposed to feature the letter "S" in the Latin inscription "SEBASTIANUS D(EI) G(RATIA) H(ATZFELD)". However, the engraver made a mistake and accidentally omitted the letter "S" in the word "SEBASTIANUS", leaving only the letters "EBASTIAN". This error has become a unique characteristic of this particular coin and makes it stand out among other coins from the same series.
